Advancing Better Health for All

Advance Better Health for all.

Advancing better health for all means bringing compassionate care, innovative research and strong community partnerships together to shape a healthier future. Across our health systems, scientists and clinicians work collaboratively to improve outcomes, expand access and ensure every patient receives exceptional care.

USC is uniquely positioned to do this work. No other university brings together this constellation of hospitals, schools and health programs to create a coordinated system of care — from Alzheimer’s to cancer treatments, community hospitals to children’s health, wellness initiatives to health policy. This unified approach strengthens communities across Southern California and beyond, creating a healthier future for all.

Featured Areas of Support

Cancer Research

Our researchers at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center are continually pushing the boundaries of cancer science, seeking novel therapies and detection methods that transform the landscape of cancer treatment. Their scientific discoveries help us develop precise and individualized care for our patients.

Your generosity will help fuel the training programs that empower young minds to tackle cancer head-on and bring creative solutions and emerging technologies to the forefront of cancer science.

It allows us to take the calculated risks in research, clinical trials, and drug development that have set us apart in accelerating the pace of cancer breakthroughs.

Join us in celebrating this Day of SCupport by making a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.

Faculty Discovery

Our goal at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is to double our research capacity by 2030. Our physical expansion coincides with the mounting strength of our research funding, currently at an all-time high and growing at promising rates. With this instrumental support, our research teams are attacking Alzheimer’s, cancer, and other devastating diseases.

By making a gift this Day of SCupport, you can help accelerate discoveries that could not be achieved with government funding alone. Your gift today to advance research can be transformational for our researchers in the frontlines and ultimately, to our patients, who rely on us for advanced patient care.

Student Support and Scholarships

We are dedicated to preparing the next generation of health care leaders to tackle the world's most challenging health issues. Our students represent the future of clinical care, research, and public health in our community—and they rely on our support.

One of our top priorities is to expand and diversify scholarship opportunities for our exceptional students. Through scholarships, we not only offer financial stability and encouragement, but also attract the most talented and passionate students. Scholarships enable students to pursue their interests and choose their career paths based on their passions.

This Day of SCupport, we invite you to make a gift to the Keck School scholarship of your choice and help us break down barriers for our students, empower them to become leaders in their chosen fields, and extend the support.

Community Programs

At USC, we serve one of the most populous counties in the nation.

Our community outreach and engagement programs are innovative, comprehensive, and effective. Through our USC Street Medicine program, we send teams of physicians, nurses, and community health workers out to treat some of the more than 50,000 people experiencing homelessness on the streets of Los Angeles. We have opened cancer wellness HUBS to address cancer health disparities in neighborhoods throughout the city. We are nationally recognized for our efforts to increase participation in clinical trials and address disparities in medicine. We implement patient navigation programs to care and shepherd patients and families through the health system, and we promote good health and preventive medicine through public education and events.

This Day of SCupport, support the USC Street Medicine fund and help reduce health care burdens, remove barriers to care, and create a more equitable future for all.

USC Patient Care

At Keck Medicine of USC, we strive to provide our patients and families with the best, most advanced care possible when they need it most.

Imagine technology that allows doctors to treat late-stage tumors that were once deemed inoperable. Imagine using your own genes to develop treatment personally tailored and targeted for your unique condition. Imagine repairing bone and muscle injuries with regenerative medicine.

This is the future of medicine—and it is already happening right here at Keck Medicine of USC.

By supporting patient care this Day of SCupport, you are helping our community benefit from the highest level of academic medicine. You can accelerate innovation, elevate the patient experience, and support our caregivers.

USC Nursing Excellence

The nurses of Keck Medical Center, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, and USC Arcadia Hospital are the backbone of our health system. They are often the first caregiver you meet at the hospital, the first face you see when waking from a procedure, the first to respond when there is a patient in need. The compassion and caring spirit of our nurses defines the world-class Keck Medicine patient experience, and their skill, dedication, and perseverance are indispensable for healing the sick and saving lives.

Nurses are always there for us. Now is the moment where we need to be there for them.

We must give nurses the exceptional level of support that they need and deserve at every stage of their careers. With advanced training, new opportunities for research and leadership, and system-wide programs for professional development, we can continually advance the practice of nursing so that patients and families experience nothing short of the best in compassionate, state-of-the-art care.

With your support, we can create for our community a national model for nursing excellence. Make your gift today to support our USC nurses.

Making Alzheimer’s a Memory

Alzheimer’s Disease is expected to double in the U.S. by 2050 — unless we act now. Trojans have already made some of the world’s biggest breakthroughs in our understanding and treatment of Alzheimer’s. With your support, USC will stop this debilitating disease within the next decade.
