Each year, the urgent needs of the USC School of Drama/c Arts (SDA) change. The Dean’s Strategic Initiatives Fund provides unrestricted philanthropic support for the School’s areas of greatest need. As the School’s most vital source of unrestricted support, the fund provides Dean Roxworthy with flexibility to support a multitude of initiatives that will enhance the academic experience for students, alumni, and faculty. 

In the past, these funds have supported projects ranging from facilities enhancements to technology upgrades to special faculty appointments. These funds help support new global partnerships and create vital interdisciplinary programs with medicine, business, and engineering and will educate our students to be global leaders in the classroom and beyond. The Fund allows the School to exploit key opportunities as they arise and to take advantage of unexpected but critical initiatives. As such, each year the School sets out to raise $1 million for these innovative educational opportunities and crucial faculty hires so Dean Roxworthy can keep growing and expanding SDA with the most cutting-edge programming and innovative experiences for our students.
