Developing Leaders for a Rapidly Changing Healthcare System

The USC Physical Therapy Alumni Endowed Scholarship will allow the Division to continue attracting outstanding students who bring new ideas, new ambitions, and new excitement to the DPT program and USC. By alleviating a portion of their financial burden, prospective students are encouraged to pursue their PT education at USC and current students are empowered to achieve success in the DPT program and in their own professional development. 

In and beyond the classroom and the Division‚Äôs clinical sites, USC PT students are taking up the standard of leadership established by past generations of Trojan PTs. Current DPT student groups bring professional issues to the forefront by meeting with elected officials each year to advocate for their patients, health equity and fellow physical therapists, and to help underserved communities by engaging in diverse service-learning opportunities around Los Angeles and beyond‚Äîworking to build a brighter future within the profession and across the continuum of healthcare through their compassion and advocacy.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our students continue to receive the high-quality education they seek, and that we are well-positioned to provide patients with outstanding and safe care in the days ahead. As USC BKNPT continues to train exceptional practitioners who provide exemplary patient care and drive the evolution of the practice of physical therapy—even amidst unprecedented challenges and unexpected change—gifts to the USC Physical Therapy Momentum Fund allow the division to make investments in our educational infrastructure and direct resources where they are most needed.
