The USC Iovine and Young Academy, in collaboration with Viterbi, Annenberg, Dornsife, and Rossier, is developing a groundbreaking BS degree in Human Technology Interaction (HTI). This program brings together faculty and students across disciplines to address complex sociotechnical challenges with innovative design, research, and development methods.

In HTI, teams work closely with industry and community partners to define, prototype, and refine solutions that integrate technical and social dimensions. This approach, widely sought by industry, opens new opportunities for student employment and faculty research funding. With USC’s strengths in human-centered design and cross-disciplinary innovation, this program is positioned to lead in HTI.

To recruit top talent, we seek support for faculty endowments and scholarships, essential for building a world-class program.
