USC Alzheimer’s Research
Six million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s Disease, and that number is projected to soar to 14 million by 2050.
At the Keck School of Medicine, we have four world-renowned research centers dedicated to combating this devastating disease. Our approach spans from basic research on early molecular changes leading to cognitive decline to landmark clinical trials. We study how to enhance the effectiveness of new anti-amyloid compounds, test anti-tau treatments, and aim to prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Leading in open science, our work provides researchers with a wealth of new information. The Keck School of Medicine is poised to be at the forefront of Alzheimer’s prevention within the next ten years.
