In 2021, we announced the launch of the USC Cardiac and Vascular Institute, which allows cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and vascular surgeons to work in close collaboration under the leadership of the founding executive director and internationally renowned surgeon Dr. Vaughn Starnes. 

Our near-term goals for heart care at Keck Medicine of USC are as bold as the scope of the problem. We plan to build a new and dedicated cardiac and vascular pavilion within Keck Hospital of USC, leveraging our existing space and infrastructure, allowing us to increase our capacity, have the latest technology and equipment, and recruit the next generation of cardiovascular care leaders.
